OREM, Utah-Per news released Thursday, Utah Valley University men’s basketball head coach Todd Phillips announced Jackson Kelly as the Wolverines’ new head strength and conditioning coach.
Kelly joins the Wolverines ahead of the 2025-26 season after spending last season at Winthrop of the Big South Conference. His talents helped the Eagles achieve a 23-11 record and a berth in the Big South tournament championship game. He has also assisted Winthrop’s women’s volleyball, women’s lacrosse, men’s soccer, men’s and women’s golf and the Eagles’ men’s and women’s cross country programs.
In the 2023-24 athletic season, Kelly served as Clemson’s men’s and women’s basketball programs strength and conditioning intern. In 2024, the Clemson men made a run to the Elite Eight partially through his contributions.
Kelly is a native of Charleston, S.C. and earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from The College of Charleston. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Kelly is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports and fitness administration through Winthrop.
