Top 10 Snow Women’s Volleyball Excels At Early-Season Tournament

ROSWELL, N.M.-This past weekend, No. 3 Snow College women’s volleyball excelled at the 2021 New Mexico Military Institute Classic at Roswell, N.M.

Friday, the Badgers bested Yavapai 3-0, prevailing 25-17, 25-13, 25-22. Later that evening, Snow swept Pima 3-0, prevailing 30-28, 25-17, 25-17.

Against the Roughriders, the Badgers were led by freshman outside hitter Megan Pannell (12 digs).

In besting the Aztecs, Snow was led by sophomore outside hitter Eden Whitmore (12 kills).

Saturday, Snow bested Tyler 3-2 and downed Seward CC 3-1.

The Badgers prevailed over the Apaches, 22-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-18 and 15-6 in a matchup of two Top 10 squads (Tyler is ranked No. 9 this week).

Freshman libero Sage Loveland posted 17 digs to lead the Badgers to the victory.

In the concluding match against the Saints, Snow prevailed 16-22, 27-25, 27-25 and 25-20.

Loveland’s 13 digs contributed to the Badgers’ victory.

Snow continues its season Friday and Saturday August 27 and 28 at Riverton, Wyo.

The Badgers will face No. 8 Western Nebraska, Central Wyoming, Colby and Casper.
