OGDEN, Utah-Wednesday, Weber State head football coach Eric Kjar announced Tana Vea as the Wildcats’ new assistant head coach/recruiting coordinator.

In this role, Vea will also serve as the tailbacks coach for the Wildcats.

Vea previously served as the Wildcats’ student assistant/recruiting coordinator from spring 2021-2023.

For the past two seasons, Vea served as the recruiting coordinator at San Diego State.

Vea, a native of Inglewood, Calif., played high school football at Juan Diego Catholic High School of Draper and later served as the Soaring Eagle’s assistant coach as well as offensive coordinator and tailbacks coach.
