CEDAR CITY, Utah-Monday, Southern Utah redshirt senior kicker Daniel King was named the United Athletic Conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week following his contributions to the Thunderbirds’ 33-17 win over Austin Peay last Saturday.

King, a native of Cumberland, Md.,  made field goal attempts of 43 and 52 yards, in SUU’s win over the visiting Govs of Clarksville, Tenn.

King and his Thunderbirds teammates return to action Saturday at Richmond, Ky. against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels as the conference season ensues for both squads.
