EPHRAIM, Utah-Friday at midnight, the No. 6 Snow College football team begins a 14-hour journey to Garden City, Kan. to square off against the No. 3 Garden City (Kan.) Broncobusters at Garden City, Kan. Saturday at 12:00 pm on KMTI-AM 650.
First-year Badgers head coach Andrew Mitchell stated the preseason ranking is a “credit to former players and coaches who worked extremely hard” in laying the foundation for football at Snow College.
The Badgers have cobbled together an independent schedule for this season and will visit the Sunflower State again August 31 to square off against Butler, as the Grizzlies are ranked 10th nationally, at El Dorado, Kan.
The Badgers’ first home game is September 7 against the U.S. Air Force Academy Preparatory School at Badger Stadium.
EPHRAIM, Utah-The Snow College women’s volleyball team, which features a pair of Mt. Pleasant natives in liberos/defensive specialists Shelby Ison and Jentry Ison, has entered the preseason rankings ranked 11th overall.
This is the second time in the past three years that the Badgers have been ranked No. 11 in the preseason polls.
Snow head coach Jeff Reynolds says the Badgers are “extremely honored” to achieve this ranking.
The Badgers’ roster, Reynolds said, is comprised of five returning players and 10 newcomers, to the program.
They will have eight sophomores and seven freshmen on the roster.
The Badgers are in action to start the season Friday at the Snow College Invitational at the Sevier Valley Center of Richfield, as they face Western Wyoming at 3:00 pm and Otero of La Junta, Colo. at 7:00 pm.
Action continues Saturday as the Badgers face Trinidad State of Trinidad, Colo. at 11:00 am and Eastern Arizona College of Thatcher, Ariz. at 3:00 pm.
