EPHRAIM, Utah-Monday, Snow College athletic director Robert Nielson announced his resignation from his dual role as men’s basketball coach.

Nielson, who coached the Badgers to a record of 188-116 (.618) in his 10 years as head coach, led the Badgers to the Sweet 16 of the NJCAA Tournament this season before falling to Dodge City CC. (Kan.) at Hutchinson, Kan.

Under Nielson, the Badgers won Scenic West Conference championships in 2017 and 2019.

During Nielson’s tenure, the Badgers placed 23 players in Division I programs and eight others played professional basketball.

The Badgers will commence their search for a new coach immediately.
