MONROE, Utah-Richfield won a hard fought rivalry match against South Sevier 3-2 Wednesday in Region 12 volleyball action. The Wildcats prevailed 24-26, 25-13, 25-11, 20-25, and 15-11 in the fifth set to win the match.
Region 20
HURRICANE, Utah-The Escalante Moquis pounded Diamond Ranch 3-0 Wednesday in Region 20 volleyball action. The Moquis prevailed 25-10, 25-11 and 25-7 to rout the Diamondbacks in straight sets.
TROPIC, Utah-The Water Canyon Wildcats stymied Bryce Valley 3-0 in Region 20 volleyball action Wednesday. The Wildcats waxed the Mustangs 25-21, 25-23 and 25-20 to take the straight sets victory.
BICKNELL, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds pulverized Wayne 3-0 Wednesday in Region 20 volleyball action. The Thunderbirds took the decisive straight sets victory over the Badgers with wins of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-16.
Non-Region
KANAB, Utah-Kanab won the battle of Kane County by besting the Valley Buffaloes 3-1 in non-region volleyball action Wednesday. Kanab prevailed 25-23, 25-15, 21-25 and 25-15 to take the victory
BEAVER, Utah-The Beaver Beavers won a home non-region volleyball match over North Sevier 3-2 Wednesday.
Baseball
1A South Region
PANGUITCH, Utah-Tucker Chappell, Ryker Hatch and Justice Savage all doubled and the Panguitch Bobcats pulled away from Bryce Valley 18-1 in 1A South Region play. Cole Harland earned the win on the mound for the Bobcats.
ORDERVILLE, Utah-In a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup the top-ranked Valley Buffaloes pulled out a 3-2 win over Piute Wednesday in 1A South Region play. Gavin Hoyt scored two runs in the win and Hunter Cox earned the win on the mound. Jax Coburn had two hits in the loss for the Thunderbirds.

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats swept North Sanpete 5-0 Wednesday in non-region girls tennis. Richfield won in 1st singles with Sarah Utley 6-1, 6-0; Piper Harris in 2nd singles 6-3, 6-0; Aubrei Jorgensen in 3rd singles 6-2, 6-0; in 1st doubles with Marissa McIff & Karsyn Harris 6-2, 6-2; and in 2nd doubles with Jamie Hair & Kara Friant 6-0, 6-2.
