FILLMORE, Utah-The Beaver Beavers won a hard fought Region 18 volleyball battle Wednesday over Millard 3-2.

Region 20

JUNCTION, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds bested the Valley Buffaloes 3-0 in Region 20 volleyball action Wednesday. The Thunderbirds prevailed 25-16, 25-22 and 25-23 to obtain the straight sets victory.

HILDALE, Utah-The Water Canyon Wildcats overpowered Wayne 3-1 Wednesday in Region 20 volleyball action. The Wildcats prevailed 25-13, 25-17, 27-29 and 25-11 to down the Badgers in four sets.

ESCALANTE, Utah-The Milford Tigers outlasted the Escalante Moquis 3-2 in Region 20 volleyball action Wednesday.

Non-Region

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-The North Sanpete Hawks surged past Richfield 3-1 in non-region volleyball action Wednesday.

Baseball

1A South Region

TROPIC, Utah-Eddie Garcia homered and drove in three runs to lead Bryce Valley to a 14-5 win over Green River in 1A South Region baseball action Wednesday. Ethan Willis doubled and earned the win on the mound for the Mustangs while Kage Ott hit a triple and Quayden Tebbs doubled in the win.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Panguitch scored five runs in the seventh inning to get the win over No. 1 Valley, 11-8 Wednesday in 1A South Region baseball action. Kyler Bennett, Ryker Hatch and Jaron Miller all doubled in the win for the Bobcats, while Cole Harland earned the win on the mound. Valley had doubles from Zaaj Heaton and Conner Chamberlain in the loss.

JUNCTION, Utah-Jax Coburn doubled and earned the win on the mound as the Piute Thunderbirds beat Pinnacle 9-2 Wednesday in 1A South Region baseball action. Piute, as a team, stole 12 bases in the win.

HURRICANE, Utah-Diamond Ranch scored three runs in each of the first two innings and never looked back as they topped Wayne 9-4 Wednesday in 1A South Region baseball action.
