PRICE, Utah-The Carbon Dinos prevailed 3-0 over South Sevier in Region 12 volleyball action Tuesday. The Dinos took wins of 25-16, 25-12 and 25-21 to net the straight sets victory over the Rams.
RICHFIELD, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats outlasted the Emery Spartans 3-2 in Region 12 volleyball action Tuesday.
Region 14
NEPHI, Utah-Avia Stowell had eight kills and seven blocks as the Juab Wasps surged past Manti 3-1 taking the Region 14 volleyball victory against the Templars Tuesday. The Wasps earned the win, 25-19, 25-23, 20-25 and 25-18. Taryn Anderson added 28 assists in the win for Juab.
Region 16
ALTAMONT, Utah-The Gunnison Valley Bulldogs pounded Altamont 3-0 Tuesday in Region 16 volleyball action. The Bulldogs prevailed 25-19, 25-21 and 25-18 to beat the Longhorns in straight sets.
SALINA, Utah-The North Summit Braves waxed North Sevier 3-0 in Region 16 volleyball action Tuesday. The Braves prevailed 25-20, 25-20 and 25-18 to best the Wolves in straight sets.
Region 18
KANAB, Utah-Kanab overpowered Parowan 3-0 Tuesday in Region 18 volleyball action. Kanab prevailed 25-21, 25-11 and 25-21 to down the Rams in straight sets.
Girls Soccer
Region 12
MONROE, Utah-Rebecca Poulsen amassed a hat trick and Brittan Tait added two more goals as the Richfield Wildcats clobbered South Sevier 10-0 in Region 12 girls soccer action Tuesday. Abigail Evensen, Kate Robinson, Katelyn Busk, Melissa Crane and Nora Foster also scored in the win for the Wildcats.
Region 14
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Catherine Miller scored twice and the Maeser Prep Lions doubled up North Sanpete 2-1 Tuesday in Region 14 girls soccer action.
ROOSEVELT, Utah-Breanne Wayman posted a hat trick while Morgan Chidester added two more goals as the Manti Templars pounded Union 8-0 in Region 14 girls soccer action Tuesday. Allie Bridges, Elsey Olson and Kassidy Alder also scored in the win for Manti. Katie Larsen posted the shutout for the Templars.
DELTA, Utah-Savannah Nielson scored twice and the Delta Rabbits hammered ALA 6-1 Tuesday in Region 14 girls soccer action. Henci Stephenson, Kate Smith, Madi Killian and Quincee Allred also scored in the win for Delta.
Boys Golf
Region 12
MOAB, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats prevailed in a close Region 12 boys golf tournament Tuesday with a score of 346, edging out Grand’s 349. Carbon came in third with a 357, followed by South Sevier with a 376 with Emery and San Juan rounding out the teams
Individually Grand’s Wyatt Toney and Carbon’s Bode Salas tied for first, each shooting a 79. Richfield’s Jaygen Mullen placed third with an 81 and South Sevier’s Carson Thornock and Emery’s Trevin Wakefield tied for fourth, shooting an 84.
Girls Tennis
Region 12
PRICE, Utah-The South Sevier Rams won a tough Region 12 girls tennis match over Carbon Tuesday, 3-2. The Rams won in 2nd singles with Gabby Carter 7-5, 6-2; in 1st doubles with Aubree Robinson & Morgan Blackburn 6-1, 6-1; and in 2nd doubled with Presley Chappell & Neleh Troseth 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Region 14
MANTI, Utah-The Manti Templars won their Region 14 girls tennis match over American Heritage 5-0 Tuesday. The Templars won in 1st singles with Sadie Cox 6-1, 6-0; in 2nd singles with Jolee Gillett 6-1, 6-0; in 3rd singles with Emma Jorgensen 6-1, 6-1; in 1st doubles with Heidi Jorgensen and Libby Simons 6-0, 6-1; and in 2nd doubles with Emma Christensen and Brynn DePalma 6-4, 6-1.
