SALINA, Utah-Bryant Jimenez returned a kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown and the Enterprise Wolves improved to 2-0 in 2-A South play by overpowering North Sevier 22-9 in 2-A South action Friday.
Enterprise came through with opportunistic plays all evening and used a 17-play 86-yard drive in the 3rd Quarter capped off by a QB sneak from 1 yard out by Tyler Hiatt to make things really hard on North Sevier in the battle of the Wolves.

Braxton Messersmith (14 carries, 115 yards) made big plays for Enterprise in the running game and Hiatt made just enough big plays in the passing game to keep North Sevier at bay.
North Sevier sophomore quarterback Kannin Boswell engineered a 6-play 67-yard scoring drive in the 4th Quarter, capping things off with a 10-yard score on a dive up the gut.
As North Sevier fell to 1-4 on the season and 0-2 in 2-A South play, they will next host the Kanab Cowboys September 18. Kanab improved to 5-0 on the season by besting Parowan 14-0 Friday evening.
Enterprise put the game away with a 1-yard touchdown run by tailback Hunter Tullis who recovered a Hiatt fumble for the score.
This was set up by defensive tackle Adam Holt blocking a Keaton Peterson punt moments earlier.
Keaton Peterson added a 19-yard field goal in defeat for the Wolves while Nathan Snyder (14 car, 84 yards) was North Sevier’s offensive leader on the evening.
Enterprise improved to 3-2 on the season and 2-0 in 2-A South play.
The Enterprise Wolves next host Milford September 18 at 7:00 pm.
MILFORD, Utah-Treyson Hunter threw a pair of scoring passes and ran for another score as the Beaver Beavers pounded Milford 48-7 Friday in 2-A South football action. Treyson Hunter added a pair of scoring runs in the win for the Beavers with EJ Allred and Taevin Hunter also adding touchdown runs for Beaver.
KANAB, Utah-Derek Houston threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Drew Hafen and Preston Houston added a 2-yard touchdown run as the Kanab Cowboys blanked Parowan 14-0 in 2-A South football action Friday.
2-A North
RANDOLPH, Utah-Jack Hansen threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to Brogan Christensen and ran for two more scores as the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs blanked Rich 21-0 in 2-A North football action Friday.
Non-Region
MONROE, Utah-Will Finlinson ran for a pair of scores and Britton Smith nailed a 35-yard field goal as the Delta Rabbits achieved their first win of the season by trouncing South Sevier 37-14 Friday in non-region football action. Smith also ran for a score for the Rabbits with Delta also receiving touchdown runs from Austin Topham and Tate Willoughby. Parker Brian had a touchdown run in the loss for the Rams with Spencer Garrett hauling in a scoring pass from Kyler Rollins as well in defeat for South Sevier.
NEPHI, Utah-Alex Jackson threw three touchdown passes and the Juab Wasps blitzed Emery 44-0 in non-region football action Friday. Boden Ballow added a 4-yard touchdown run for Juab in the rout for the Wasps while Ryker Richards nailed field goals of 36 and 24 yards in the win. Nate Saez chipped in with a 29-yard field goal as well for Juab.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Gavin Brown threw two touchdown passes and ran for two more scores as the Richfield Wildcats clobbered Manti 42-14 Friday in non-region football action. Tyler Taukeiaho had an 80-yard touchdown run and Tanner Justesen added a 15-yard scoring jaunt in defeat for the Templars.
MONTICELLO, Utah-James Stephenson threw a pair of scoring passes and the Monticello Buckaroos hammered Monticello 55-6 in non-region football action Friday. Jed DeGraffenried, who caught one of Stephenson’s touchdown passes, returned an interception 75 yards for a score and added touchdown runs of 1 and 42 yards for the Eagles. KC Whitaker added a 5-yard touchdown run for Millard and Brant Stevens threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Rhodes for the Eagles. Hunter Rodriguez added a 25-yard touchdown run in defeat for the Eagles.
MOAB, Utah-Landon Bowles threw three touchdown passes and the North Sanpete Hawks hammered Grand 51-13 in non-region football action Friday. Jordan Watts added touchdown runs of 12 and 31 yards for the Hawks in the win while Trevin Morley added a 9-yard touchdown run for North Sanpete in the win. PJ Cook contributed with a 50-yard fumble return for a score in the win for the Hawks.

Region 12
RICHFIELD, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats earned a straight set sweep over San Juan, 3-0 Friday in Region 12 volleyball action. The Wildcats won 25-15, 26-24, 25-13.
Region 20
BICKNELL, Utah-The Valley Buffaloes knocked off Wayne 3-1 Friday in Region 20 volleyball action. Valley prevailed 25-15, 25-14, 21-25, 25-10.
Non-Region
SALINA, Utah-Alexis Allen had 10 kills and Abigail Holman had 21 assists to lead Panguitch to a five set win over North Sevier, 3-2 Friday in non-region volleyball action. The Bobcats won 16-25, 25-12, 18-25, 27-25, and 15-6 in the fifth set. McKylee Malmgren led the Wolves with 17 kills in the loss.

1A South Region
PANGUITCH, Utah-Gavin Morgan pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts to lead Piute to a 3-1 win over Panguitch in 1A South Region baseball action Friday. McKray Gayler had two hits and an RBI in the win for the Thunderbirds. Dallas Englestead hit a home run in the loss for the Bobcats.
GREEN RIVER, Utah-Gavin Hoyt hit two doubles and earned the win on the mound as the Valley Buffaloes topped Green River 19-5 Friday in 1A South Region baseball action.
BICKNELL, Utah-Dallas Peterson hit a grand slam and the Wayne Badgers dominated Bryce Valley 9-0 Friday in 1A South Region baseball action. Brody Durfey earned the win on the mound for the Badgers.
