TROPIC, Utah-Joel Romo and Ryker Chynoweth drove in three runs apiece and the Bryce Valley Mustangs routed Pinnacle 14-3 in 1A South baseball play Wednesday. Rafe Brinkerhoff recorded three strikeouts in as many innings to earn the win on the mound for the Mustangs.

GREEN RIVER, Utah-Cole Harland went 3-3 at the plate with three RBI’s and a double as the Panguitch Bobcats pummeled Green River 12-1 Wednesday in 1A South baseball play.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Reed Edwards drove in three runs and the Wayne Badgers pounded Valley 14-0 in 1A South baseball play Wednesday. Jake Batty posted 11 strikeouts in five innings of play for the Badgers in victory.

JUNCTION, Utah-Jesse James tripled and drove in two runs as the Piute Thunderbirds beat Diamond Ranch 13-0 Wednesday in 1A South Region baseball action. Kole Westwood and Kade Severe each doubled and drove in two runs and Brooks Dalton earned the win on the mound with four strikeouts in three innings for the Thunderbirds.

Volleyball

Region 20

BICKNELL, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats dismantled Wayne 3-1 Wednesday in Region 20 volleyball play. The Bobcats prevailed over the Badgers 25-17, 21-25, 25-10, 25-12.

JUNCTION, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds surged past Bryce Valley 3-0 in Region 20 volleyball action Wednesday. The T-Birds downed the Mustangs 25-14, 25-15, 25-10 for the straight sets victory.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-The Valley Buffaloes stampeded Escalante 3-1 Wednesday in Region 20 volleyball play. The Buffaloes prevailed over the Moquis 25-18, 23-25, 25-19, 25-13.

Boys Golf

Region 12

RICHFIELD, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats won a Region 12 tournament on their home course Wednesday by shooting a 302 as a team. Carbon came in second place with a 325, followed by Canyon View, Grand and Emery.

Individually Richfield’s Keaton Anderson took first with a 71. Wyatt Toney of Grand came in second with a 72. Carbon’s Bode Salas, Richfield’s Gage Brower and Canyon View Jack Vickers tied for third with a 75 to round out the top five.
