DELTA, Utah-Taylor Davies hauled in 2 receptions for 109 yards including a game-changing 83-yard touchdown reception as the No. 2 in Class 2-A Millard Eagles routed Delta 32-14 in non-region football action Friday.

The Rabbits raced out to a 14-0 lead after the 1st Quarter as signal-caller Austin Topham found Oran Finlinson for a 4-yard scoring reception and tailback Britton Smith deceptively broke loose for a 65-yard touchdown run.

The aforementioned Jed DeGraffenried (21 car, 145 yards, 2 TD’s) then added a pair of scoring runs, with KC Whitaker adding a four-yard touchdown run for Millard.

After Braxton Bond was interecepted twice, Millard head coach Ethan Stephenson called upon James Stephenson (6-12, 133 yards, 2 TD’s) who threw the scoring strike to Davies and another one that was adroitly caught by Mekhi Davis.

The win improved the Eagles to 3-0 on the season as they next face the Kanab Cowboys at home Friday September 4.
