FILLMORE, Utah-Heidi Thurman posted a pair of goals and the Millard Eagles pounded South Sevier 8-0 Wednesday in non-region girls soccer action. Audrey Camp, Camilla Robison, Kara Camp, Katy Kelly, Paige Cummings and Rylee Miller also scored in the win for Millard. Kylee Bartholomew and Lucy Freeman combined on the shutout for Millard.
Volleyball
Region 20
JUNCTION, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds prevailed in straights sets, 3-0 over the Escalante Moquis in Region 20 volleyball action Wednesday. The Thunderbirds won by scores of 25-11, 25-22 and 25-15.
ORDERVILLE, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats topped the Valley Buffaloes in straight sets, 3-0 on Wednesday in Region 20 volleyball action. The Bobcats won 25-15, 25-10 and 25-16.
Girls Tennis
Region 12
MONROE, Utah-The South Sevier Rams girls tennis team held off Gunnison Valley 3-2 in a Region 12 girls tennis match Wednesday. For South Sevier Gabby Carter won 2nd singles 6-4, 6-4, Hannah Gay won 3rd singles 6-2, 6-1, and Brecken Bradshaw and CC Corpino won 2nd doubles 6-4, 6-1. The Bulldogs won 1st singles and 1st doubles.
Baseball
HURRICANE, Utah-Diamond Ranch run-ruled Panguitch 14-4 in Region 20 baseball action Wednesday.
TROPIC, Utah-The Valley Buffaloes outlasted Bryce Valley in a shootout Wednesday in Region 20 baseball action as Valley won 20-12. Ethan Willis doubled for Bryce Valley and Rafe Brinkerhoff added 3 RBI in the loss.
