3A Championship Bracket @ Kearns High School
KEARNS, Utah-Gannon Labrum homered and the No. 1 Union Cougars outlasted No. 2 Grantsville 7-6 Friday in the 3A state baseball championship bracket at Gates Field. Dylan Watahomigie netted five strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Cougars. Patton Rose drove in three runs in the loss for the Cowboys. Game 2 is Saturday at 10:00 am at Kearns High School. If the Cougars win this game, they win the 3A state championship. If the Cowboys win, a de facto state championship game will occur at 3:30 pm.
