RICHFIELD, Utah-Kyler Bennett posted 20 points and 9 rebounds as the Panguitch Bobcats overpowered Piute 58-46 Thursday in the 1-A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center. The Bobcats shot 58 percent (22-38) for the game in advancing to Friday night’s 7:00 pm semifinal against Valley. Kelby Jessen had 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the Thunderbirds, who will play Friday at 12:00 pm in the consolation bracket against Bryce Valley.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Gavin Hoyt amassed 27 points and 6 rebounds on 10-20 from the field as the Valley Buffaloes upset No. 1 seed Bryce Valley 47-45 Thursday in the 1-A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center. Quayden Tebbs had 10 points for the Mustangs in defeat.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Pedro Alvarez posted 27 points and 5 rebounds on 9-11 shooting as the Wendover Wildcats surged past Telos 71-55 in the 1-A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center Thursday. The Wildcats shot 54 percent (27-50) for the game and were also bolstered by Jaime Montalvo’s 20 points and 6 rebounds on 9-17 from the field. Ethan Croley had 18 points and 11 rebounds on 4-7 from the field in defeat for the Titans. Wendover next faces Manila Friday at 9:00 pm in the state semifinals.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Tuck Davis had 14 points on 5-10 from the field as the Manila Mustangs overpowered Rich 46-37 Thursday in the 1-A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center. Riley Taylor had 12 points and 9 rebounds on 6-8 from the field in defeat for the Rebels. Rich next draws Telos Friday at 1:30 pm i the consolation bracket.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Analise Wiseman netted 16 points and 8 rebounds as the Milford Tigers downed Rich 53-45 in the 1-A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center Thursday. Tayla McKee and Makynzee Smith had 10 points apiece in defeat for the Rebels. Milford, the defending state champion, next advances to the 3:00 pm semifinal Friday at the Sevier Valley Center against Valley.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Janilyn Hoyt and Brittyn Heaton had 12 points apiece as the Valley Buffaloes got past Bryce Valley 46-39 Thursday at the Sevier Valley Center during the 1-A state quarterfinals. Brooklyn Syrett had a game-high 20 points in defeat for the Mustangs. Bryce Valley faces Rich Friday at 9:00 am in the consolation bracket at the Sevier Valley Center.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Allee Van Dyke posted 15 points and 8 rebounds and Wayne bested Green River 56-48 during the 1-A state quarterfinals Thursday at the Sevier Valley Center. Talynn Lovato had 19 points and 7 rebounds in defeat for the Pirates. Green River faces Tabiona Friday at 10:30 am in the consolation bracket at the Sevier Valley Center.
