CEDAR CITY, Utah-Cameron Calvez homered and the Canyon View Falcons routed Richfield 16-6 Wednesday in Region 12 baseball action. Brady Anderson posted three strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Falcons. Gavin Kirschner homered in the loss for the Wildcats. Griffin Wayman, Garrett Wayman and Slade Reitz each drove in a run in defeat for Richfield.
PRICE, Utah-Peyton Molinar drove in a pair of runs and the Carbon Dinos gashed Delta 6-1 in Region 12 baseball play Wednesday. Roper Crane drove in a run for the Rabbits in the loss.
Non-Region
SPANISH FORK, Utah-Memphis Butler drove in four runs and the American Leadership Eagles waxed North Sanpete 11-6 Wednesday in non-region baseball play. Ethan Barney posted four strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Eagles. Andy Bailey and Wyatt Williams drove in two runs apiece for the Hawks in the loss. Maddex Bailey added another RBI in defeat for North Sanpete.
SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah-Braxton Henningson homered and the Manti Templars overpowered Class 6A Westlake 12-8 in non-region baseball play Wednesday. Reggie Frischknecht drove in three runs for Manti, while Jaden Barton (2 RBI), Kayson Bailey and Tajz Hill (RBI apiece) also excelled for Manti. Henningson posted four strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Templars. Isaac Dansie and Max Loveless drove in two runs apiece in the loss for the Thunder.
HERRIMAN, Utah-Westin Willis homered and the Providence Hall Patriots outlasted North Sevier 14-13 Wednesday in non-region baseball play. Mason Sackett posted a strikeout in 2.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Providence Hall. Hunter Lund drove in three runs in the loss for the Wolves. James Crowley and Mace Sorenson drove in two runs apiece for North Sevier. Parker Jensen also drove in a run for the Wolves in the loss.
Softball
Region 12
NEPHI, Utah-Rylee Sperry drove in three runs and the Juab Wasps downed Richfield 11-9 Wednesday in Region 12 softball play. Dusti Draper drove in two more runs for the Wasps while Livia Topham, Tylie Greenhalgh, Roudee Weaver and Mollie Blankenagel drove in a run apiece for Juab in victory. Macie Barton homered in the loss for the Wildcats. Jaycee McKinlay and McKenzie Pace drove in two runs apiece in defeat for Richfield. Kaydence Busk and Emree Bjerregaard also drove in a run apiece for the Wildcats in the loss.
2A Central
GUNNISON, Utah-Maile Ha’o drove in three runs and the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs pounded Piute 17-1 in 2A Central softball play Wednesday. Khora Marker, Atley Coates and Shae King drove in two more runs apiece for the Bulldogs and Maggie Bartholomew, Kirstin Bartholomew, Maddie Pratt and Robyn Christiansen also drove in an additional run apiece for the Bulldogs in victory.
Non-Region
MILFORD, Utah-Kloee Dotson drove in a pair of runs and the Milford Tigers blanked North Summit 17-0 Wednesday in non-region softball play. Paizlee Florence, Jaidyn McMullin, Miley Willden, Whitney Wiseman, Gracie Dotson and Alycia Sedillo drove in an additional run apiece in victory for the Tigers. Willden posted four strikeouts in 2.2 innings of work to earn the win in the circle for Milford.
Boys Soccer
Region 12
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-James Dettinger and Kyle Steinfeldt scored two goals apiece and the Manti Templars routed North Sanpete 8-0 in Region 12 boys soccer play Wednesday. Taylor Dettinger, Luis Ornelas, Corbin Henry and Rhett Olson also found the net in the win for the Templars. David Peterson and Branson Cherry combined on the shutout for Manti.
CASTLE DALE, Utah-Nixon Curtis scored twice and the Juab Wasps outlasted Emery 3-2 Wednesday in Region 12 boys soccer play. Kash Olsen also found the net in victory for the Wasps.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Connor Cunningham scored a pair of goals and the Carbon Dinos waxed Richfield 4-1 in Region 12 boys soccer play Wednesday. Parker Graham scored in the loss for the Wildcats.
DELTA, Utah-Cole Smith found the net and the Canyon View Falcons blanked Delta 1-0 Wednesday in Region 12 boys soccer play. Michael Putnam recorded the shutout in the net for the Falcons.
