1A State Championship Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Cache Eyre’s 18 points and 10 rebounds led the way and the No. 3 Panguitch Bobcats won their 10th all-time state championship in boys basketball with a 55-48 win over No. 1 Rich Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center in the 1A state title game. Ridge Lundgren’s 16 points and 6 rebounds on 5-10 from the field led the Rebels in the loss. Panguitch has now won 10 state championships in boys basketball. The Bobcats have state championships in 1924, 1957, 1990, 1998, 2001, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2023 and 2024.
1A 3rd Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Logan Rhoades led the way with 15 points and 11 rebounds on 7-14 from the field and the No. 2 Tabiona Tigers overpowered No. 4 Piute 71-58 to place third in the 1A state tournament at the Sevier Valley Center Saturday. Kole Westwood had 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists on 6 of 11 from the field in the loss for the Thunderbirds.
1A 5th Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Sadler Barnes netted 14 points and 9 rebounds and the No. 9 Milford Tigers bested No. 6 Manila 50-43 to place fifth in the 1A state tournament Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center. Riley Browning’s 23 points and 7 rebounds led the Mustangs in the loss.
1A 6th Place Game @ Richfield High SchoolÂ
RICHFIELD, Utah-The No. 10 Valley Buffalos routed No. 8 Green River 50-32 to place sixth in the 1A state tournament Saturday at Richfield High School.
Girls Basketball
1A State Championship Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Makena Owens recorded 22 points on 8-9 from the field and 6-7 from range as the No. 2 Panguitch Bobcats downed No. 4 Tabiona 56-37 in the 1A state championship game at the Sevier Valley Center Saturday evening. Mallory Henrie added 12 points and 13 rebounds on 5-10 from the field for the Bobcats. Maycee Rhoades led the Tigers in the loss with 17 points. Panguitch has now won 14 state championship in girls basketball in the following years: 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2024.
1A 3rd Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Molly Weston led the way with 13 points and the No. 3 Rich Rebels overpowered No.1 Monument Valley 45-30 in the 1A 3rd place game Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center. Shimequa Hudson’s 14 points and 5 rebounds led the Cougars in the loss.
1A 5th Place Game @ SVC
RICHFIELD, Utah-Kaycee Gleave netted 19 points and 13 rebounds on 8-15 from the field and the No. 6 Piute Thunderbirds overpowered No. 5 Wendover 42-28 in the 1A 5th place game at the Sevier Valley Center Saturday. Paulina Gomez led the Wildcats with 8 points in the loss.
