Region 14
NEPHI, Utah-Ty Allred netted 21 points and 7 rebounds on 9-13 from the field as the Juab Wasps placed themselves in the driver’s seat to seize the Region 14 title with a 50-46 win over Manti Tuesday evening.
The Wasps (16-3, 9-1 in Region 14 play) swept the Templars (15-5, 10-2 in Region 14 play) with the victory and placed themselves in position for the region crown.
If Juab defeats Union Wednesday and ALA Friday, they will officially clinch the region title.
Grady Thompson had 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the loss for Manti.
Manti returns to action Friday night for Senior Night against Delta. Juab’s home game against Union is Senior Night for the Wasps.
Non-Region
MILFORD, Utah-Breckon Nelson’s 12 points led the way and the Enterprise Wolves pounded Milford 61-33 in non-region boys basketball action Tuesday. Treyton Rose had 8 points in the loss for the Tigers.
Girls Basketball
Region 12
PRICE, Utah-Nicole Willardson led the way with 18 points and the Richfield Wildcats smacked Carbon 48-37 Tuesday in Region 12 girls basketball action. Madi Orth had 13 points in defeat for the Dinos.
CASTLE DALE, Utah-Tatum Tanner netted 22 points as the Emery Spartans downed South Sevier 58-46 in Region 12 girls basketball action Tuesday. Cassie Johnson had 10 points for the Rams in defeat.
Region 14
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Jadee Dutson posted 17 points as the Delta Rabbits routed North Sanpete 40-21 in Region 14 girls basketball action Tuesday. Kortley Cook led the Hawks in the loss with 10 points.
ROOSEVELT, Utah-Kinslee Drake stepped up with 17 points and the Union Cougars gashed Juab 47-38 Tuesday in Region 14 girls basketball action. Madeline Eyre had 11 points in the loss for the Wasps.
Region 16
SALINA, Utah-Laynee Shiner had 13 points as the Altamont Longhorns gashed North Sevier 50-35 Tuesday in Region 16 girls basketball action. Allie Cowley had 14 points for the Wolves in defeat.
Region 18
FILLMORE, Utah-Eliza Swallow amassed 26 points and the Millard Eagles edged Kanab 56-55 in Region 18 girls basketball action Tuesday. Gracye Glover led Kanab in the loss with 16 points.
PAROWAN, Utah-Avery Brown netted 22 points as the Beaver Beavers gashed Parowan 54-43 Tuesday in Region 18 girls basketball action. Karlee Wood and Brooklyn Pace had 10 points apiece for the Rams in the loss.
