Region 14
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Austin Park posted 20 points on 5-6 from the field, 4-5 from range and 6-6 at the foul line as the Juab Wasps overpowered North Sanpete 74-58 Friday in Region 14 boys basketball play. The Wasps proficiently shot 60 percent (27-45) from the field in victory. Ty Allan had 25 points on 9-11 at the foul in defeat for the Hawks.
MANTI, Utah-Dylan Anderson’s 22 points led the way and the Manti Templars smacked Delta 71-49 in Region 14 boys basketball play Friday. Cai Henderson led the Rabbits with a game-high 24 points in defeat.
Region 16
SALINA, Utah-Sawyer Richins netted 19 points and 13 rebounds and the North Summit Braves got past North Sevier 79-71 Friday in Region 16 boys basketball action. Kyson Bosshardt led the Wolves in defeat with 19 points.
FILLMORE, Utah-Hunter Rhodes recorded 24 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds and the Millard Eagles downed Duchesne 65-60 in Region 16 boys basketball play Friday. Jep Young’s game-high 20 points led the Duchesne Eagles in defeat.
Girls Basketball
Region 19
KANAB, Utah-Kinley Jenson led the way with 15 points and the South Sevier Rams edged Kanab 46-44 in Region 19 girls basketball action Friday. Ashlyn Houston led the Cowboys with 15 points in the loss.
Region 20
ESCALANTE, Utah-Janni Hoyt posted 34 points, including 7 3-pointers, and the Valley Buffaloes stampeded Escalante 74-34 Friday in Region 20 girls basketball play. Mazee Dunton led the Moquis in defeat with 13 points.
Non-Region
TROPIC, Utah-The Bryce Valley Mustangs downed the Whitehorse Raiders 38-25 Friday in non-region girls basketball play.
