PANGUITCH, Utah-Gavin Morgan posted 19 points and the No. 2 Piute Thunderbirds pounded No. 3 Diamond Ranch 78-42 in the Region 20 tournament semifinals at Panguitch High School Friday. John Langenbach had 11 points in defeat for the Diamondbacks. Piute plays No. 1 Panguitch for the Region 20 title Saturday at 8:00 pm at Panguitch High School.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Klyn Fullmer posted 15 points and the No. 1 Panguitch Bobcats routed No. 4 Bryce Valley 56-31 Friday in the Region 20 tournament semifinals at Panguitch High School. Brock Syrett had 10 points in defeat for the Mustangs.
Consolation Bracket
PANGUITCH, Utah-McCoy Harris netted 34 points and the No. 5 Valley Buffaloes bested No. 8 Water Canyon 48-35 Friday in the Region 20 tournament at Panguitch High School. Aaron Barlow had 12 points in defeat for the Wildcats. Valley plays Milford for 5th place Saturday at 1:30 pm at Panguitch High School.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Treyton Rose led the way with 25 points as the No. 7 Milford Tigers pounded No. 6 Wayne 52-24 in the Region 20 tournament at Panguitch High School Friday. Jake Batty led the Badgers in the loss with 11 points. Wayne plays Water Canyon Saturday at 10:10 am for 7th place at Panguitch High School.

3A State Playoffs Second Round
PRICE, Utah-Amiah Timothy posted 15 points and 5 rebounds on 7-8 at the foul line as the No. 8 Carbon Dinos outlasted No. 9 Manti 44-39 Friday in the second round of the 3A state girls basketball playoffs at Carbon High School.
The Dinos compensated for shooting 24 percent (10-42) at the foul line by making 79 percent (22-28) at the foul line to emerge victorious.
Sharlie Alder had 14 points and 10 rebounds on 5-9 from the field in defeat for the Templars, whose season ends with a record of 11-10.
Carbon improves to 13-8 with the win and next advances to the 3A state girls basketball quarterfinals Thursday at 7:30 pm to face No. 1 seed Judge at the Dee Events Center on the campus of Weber State University of Ogden.
SALT LAKE CITY-Teya Sidberry led the way with 22 points and the No. 1 Judge Bulldogs routed No. 16 Juan Diego 70-33 Friday in the second round of the 3A state girls basketball playoffs. Alyn Crooms had 9 points in defeat for the Soaring Eagle.
LAYTON, Utah-Bianca Silva posted 22 points and the No. 6 Layton Christian Eagles edged No. 11 Canyon View 57-56 in the second round of the 3A state girls basketball playoffs Friday. Maya Nichols had 19 points in the loss for the Falcons. Layton Christian next faces No. 3 Grantsville in the 3A state quarterfinals at Weber State University Thursday at 4:10 pm.
GRANTSVILLE, Utah-Kenzie Allen netted 15 points and the No. 3 Grantsville Lady Cowboys doubled up No. 14 ALA 66-33 Friday in the second round of the 3A state girls basketball playoffs. Tiffany Tervort had 10 points in the loss for the Eagles.
RICHFELD, Utah-Rebecca Poulsen stepped up with 14 points and the No. 2 Richfield Wildcats got past No. 18 Ogden 55-45 in the second round of the 3A state girls basketball playoffs Friday. Ashley Christensen led the Tigers in the loss with a game-high 19 points. Richfield next plays the winner of Saturday’s game between No. 10 Union and No. 7 Summit Academy. This game would be Thursday at 5:50 pm in the state quarterfinals at Weber State University.
MORGAN, Utah-Janel Blazzard led the way with 22 points and 6 assists as the No. 5 Morgan Trojans pounded No. 12 South Summit 80-61 Friday in the second round of the 3A state girls basketball playoffs. Reagan Sanderson posted 28 points in defeat for the Wildcats. Morgan next faces No. 4 Emery Thursday at 9:10 pm in the state quarterfinals at Weber State University.
CASTLE DALE, Utah-Tambrie Tuttle’s 21 points and 9 rebounds led No. 4 Emery to a 68-40 pasting of No. 13 Delta Friday in the second round of the 3A state girls basketball playoffs. Ashlynd Hunt led the Rabbits in defeat with 12 points.
2A State Playoffs Second Round
COALVILLE, Utah-Hartlyn Richins amassed 19 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds as the No. 4 North Summit Braves dismantled No. 13 Enterprise 61-37 Friday in the second round of the 2A state girls basketball playoffs. Addi Nelson led the Wolves in the loss with 12 points. North Summit next faces No. 5 Draper APA Thursday at 9:10 pm in the quarterfinals of the 2A state playoffs at the Sevier Valley Center.
DRAPER, Utah-Samantha Kartchner posted 22 points and the No. 5 Draper APA Eagles humbled No. 12 Parowan 55-42 in the second round of the 2A state girls basketball playoffs Friday. Kynlee Rowley led the Rams in defeat with 14 points.
DUCHESNE, Utah-Baylee Clayburn stepped up with 17 points and the No. 6 Duchesne Eagles pummeled No. 11 Rowland Hall 63-25 Friday in the second round of the 2A state girls basketball playoffs. Kaityln Bates had 7 points in the loss for the Winged Lions. No. 6 Duchesne next faces No. 3 Millard Thursday at 4:10 pm in the 2A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
FILLMORE, Utah-Aubree Lunt netted 20 points as the No. 3 Millard Eagles hammered No. 19 San Juan 62-41 in the second round of the 2A state girls basketball playoffs Friday. Halli Palmer led the Broncos in the loss with 16 points.
MONROE, Utah-The No. 8 South Sevier Rams decimated the No. 9 Rockwell Marshals 72-37 in the second round of the 2A state girls basketball playoffs Friday. The Rams next face No. 1 Beaver Thursday at 7:30 pm in the 2A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
BEAVER, Utah-Kenzlee Carter led the way with 17 points and the No. 1 Beaver Beavers routed No. 17 Gunnison Valley 59-27 Friday in the second round of the 2A state girls basketball playoffs. Raven Pickett’s 9 points led the Bulldogs in defeat.
KANAB, Utah-Ashlyn Houston posted 15 points as the No. 2 Kanab Lady Cowboys shellacked No. 15 St. Joseph 73-23 in the second round of the 2A state girls basketball playoffs Friday. Sarah Snell had 11 points for the Jayhawks in the loss. Kanab next faces No. 7 North Sevier Thursday at 5:50 pm in the 2A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
SALINA, Utah-Alli Mason and Gracee Johnson had 11 points apiece and the No. 7 North Sevier Wolves eshed No. 10 American Heritage 52-49 Friday in the second round of the 2A state girls basketball playoffs. Merceius Mili led the Patriots in defeat with 19 points.

PANGUITCH, Utah-Kassidy Westwood netted 14 points and the No. 1 Piute Thunderbirds stymied No. 4 Escalante 43-19 in the Region 20 tournament semifinals Friday at Panguitch High School. Mazee Dunton had 7 points for the Moquis in defeat. Piute next faces No. 2 Panguitch Saturday at 6:20 pm for the Region 20 tournament championship at Panguitch High School. Escalante will face No. 3 Wayne for 3rd place Saturday at 3:10 pm at Panguitch High School.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Tabbie Henrie led the way with 23 points and the No. 2 Panguitch Bobcats edged No. 3 Wayne 45-44 Friday at Panguitch High School in the Region 20 tournament semifinals. Allee VanDyke had 19 points to pace the Badgers in the loss.

PANGUITCH, Utah-Melissa Jessop posted 19 points and the No. 8 Water Canyon Wildcats gashed No. 5 Milford 46-39 Friday in the Region 20 consolation bracket at Panguitch High School. JaLeana Tsosie had 17 points in the loss for the Tigers. Water Canyon next faces Valley Saturday at 11:50 am at Panguitch High School for 7th place.
PANGUITCH, Utah-Braden Heaton and Ruth Cox had 12 points apiece and the No. 6 Valley Buffaloes waxed No. 7 Bryce Valley 55-34 in the Region 20 consolation bracket Friday at Panguitch High School. Kristen Stewart and Amanda Chynoweth each had 8 points in defeat for the Mustangs.
