Region 12

MONROE, Utah-Jaxon Torgerson amassed 19 points and 7 rebounds as the San Juan Broncos bounced back after Friday’s loss to Richfield with a 54-46 win over South Sevier Saturday in Region 12 boys basketball action.

Brennen Hunt’s 18 points and 8 rebounds led the Rams in the loss.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Josh Thalman posted 33 points, including three 3-pointers, and the Richfield Wildcats hammered Grand 69-43 in Region 12 boys basketball action Saturday. Kaine Allred led the Red Devils in the loss with 24 points.

Girls Basketball

Region 12

MOAB, Utah-Jarica Steck’s 15 points led the way and the Richfield Wildcats clobbered Grand 72-24 Saturday in Region 12 girls basketball action Saturday. Tenney Cook had 9 points for the Red Devils in the loss.

BLANDING, Utah-Presley Chappell netted 30 points and the South Sevier Rams stormed past San Juan 70-48 Saturday in Region 12 girls basketball action. Madison Palmer’s 12 points led the Broncos in defeat.

Region 20

JUNCTION, Utah-Alysen  Talbot posted 13 points and the Piute Thunderbirds got past Panguitch 40-36 in Region 20 girls basketball action Saturday. Mataya Barney had 14 points in defeat for the Bobcats.

MILFORD, Utah-Esther Cox led the way with 16 points and the Valley Buffaloes humbled Milford 56-46 Saturday in Region 20 girls basketball action. Preslee Barnson had 15 points in the loss for the Tigers.

TROPIC, Utah-Brooklyn Syrett amassed 19 points and the Bryce Valley Mustangs edged Wayne 35-34 in Region 20 girls basketball action Saturday. Abby Stevens led the Badgers in the loss with 13 points.
