NEPHI, Utah-Jonathan Parker posted 19 points on 6-12 shooting and the Union Cougars got past Juab 63-58 Wednesday in Region 14 boys basketball action. Ty Gillman added 18 more points in the win for the Cougars. In defeat, the Wasps were paced by Max Gurney’s 19 points on 8-12 shooting, while they fell below .500 in region play at 4-5. Union improved to 8-2 in Region 14 play with the victory.

SALINA, Utah-Porter Wood and Trevor Bassett netted 18 points apiece as the Parowan Rams routed North Sevier 66-44 in Region 18 boys basketball action Wednesday. Rocky Bringhurst’s 13 points led the Wolves in the loss.

ORDERVILLE, Utah-Casey Reck led the way with 14 points while the Valley Buffaloes humbled Water Canyon 63-52 Wednesday in Region 20 boys basketball action. Ben Cooke had 17 points in defeat for the Wildcats.

MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Justin Rasmussen posted 27 points and the Emery Spartans outgunned North Sanpete 81-76 in Region 15 boys basketball action Wednesday. Shawn Taylor’s 20 points paced the Hawks in defeat.

MANTI, Utah-Matt Nelson amassed 28 points, including seven 3-pointers while the Manti Templars gashed Richfield 76-64 Wednesday in Region 15 boys basketball action. Payton Thompson had 19 points to lead the Wildcats in the loss.

FILLMORE, Utah-Ryan Holt stepped up with 24 points as the Enterprise Wolves waxed Millard 65-56 in Region 18 boys basketball action Wednesday. Jaxon Wardle and Kaleb Rowell had 10 points apiece in defeat for the Eagles.

KANAB, Utah-Jake Shakespear led the way with 18 points and the Kanab Cowboys bested Gunnison 66-58 Wednesday in Region 18 boys basketball action. Parx Bartholomew’s 22 points on six 3-pointers paced the Bulldogs in defeat.

ESCALANTE, Utah-Beau Sylvester netted 31 points and the Piute Thunderbirds drilled Escalante 79-42 in Region 20 boys basketball action Wednesday. Dayson Barnson had 25 poits on six 3-pointers in the loss for the Moquis.

PANGUITCH, Utah-Acey Orton amassed 26 points as the Panguitch Bobcats pounded Diamond Ranch 84-34 Wednesday in Region 20 boys basketball action. Alex Feldman had 16 points for the Diamondbacks in the loss.
