DELTA, Utah-Derek Smith posted 26 points and 9 rebounds, along with 6 assists on 8-14 shooting as the Delta Rabbits overpowered American Leadership 78-67 in Region 14 boys basketball action Wednesday at the Palladium. Jager Springer (15 points, 7 rebounds) was also instrumental in the Rabbits’ success as he nailed a pair of 3-pointers early in the 4th Quarter to help Delta pull away. Brett Staheli amassed a game-high 29 points, along with 7 rebounds, while making 10 of his 19 shots in defeat for the Eagles. RICHFIELD, Utah-Emmitt Hafen and Payton Thompson had 17 points apiece as the Richfield Wildcats waxed Emery 71-59 Wednesday in Region 15 boys basketball action. Luke Stilson and Tyler Butler had 14 points apiece to pace the Spartans in the loss.
KANAB, Utah-Porter Wood amassed 33 points and the Parowan Rams got past Kanab 50-44 in Region 18 boys basketball action Wednesday. Parker Collins led the Cowboys in defeat with 14 points.
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Caleb Barton posted 34 points, including six 3-pointers as the South Sevier Rams bested North Sanpete 81-68 Wednesday in Region 15 boys basketball action. Spencer Steadman posted 18 points, 6 assists and 5 boards in defeat for the Hawks.
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Chasen Truman led the way with 14 points as the Enterprise Wolves smacked North Sevier 43-30 in Region 18 boys basketball action Wednesday. Rocky Bringhurst had 8 points in the loss for North Sevier.

JUNCTION, Utah-Anna Wilde’s 15 points led the way and the Piute Thunderbirds smacked Bryce Valley 56-35 Wednesday in Region 20 girls basketball action. Brooklyn Syrett had 12 points for the Mustangs in the loss.
ORDERVILLE, Utah-Esther Cox keyed a balanced scoring attack with 13 points and the Valley Buffaloes routed Escalante 74-36 in Region 20 girls basketball action Wednesday. Bobbie Griffin netted 13 points in defeat for the Moquis.
