RICHFIELD, Utah-Emmitt Hafen posted 19 points and 8 rebounds and the Richfield Wildcats upset South Sevier 59-52 Friday in Region 15 boys basketball action. Brodee Tebbs posted 14 points in the loss for the Rams. The Wildcats were able to repel a late South Sevier surge by making eight consecutive free throws down the stretch to improve to 8-7 and 2-4 in region play. The Rams fell to 13-3 and 4-2 in region play with the loss.
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-Matt Nelson bounced back with 20 points and the Manti Templars bested North Sanpete 62-52 in Region 15 boys basketball action Friday. Spencer Steadman’s game-high 23 points led the Hawks in defeat.
ENTERPRISE, Utah-Davis Heslington stepped up with 20 points and the Beaver Beavers stymied Enterprise 61-52 Friday in Region 18 boys basketball action. Chasen Truman netted 19 points in the loss for the Wolves.
FILLMORE, Utah-Jaxon Wardle led the way with 12 points as the Millard Eagles routed Gunnison 53-33 in Region 18 boys basketball action Friday. Wyatt Young had 11 points to pace the Bulldogs in the loss.
SALINA, Utah-Parker Collins amassed 16 points and 8 rebounds as the Kanab Cowboys got past North Sevier 50-43 Friday in Region 18 boys basketball action. Brooks Mickelsen netted 16 points and 6 boards for the Wolves in defeat.

GUNNISON, Utah-Paige King posted 14 points as the Gunnison Bulldogs dismantled Maeser 52-22 in non-region girls basketball action Friday. Sydney Ellis led the Lions in defeat with 5 points.
