RICHFIELD, Utah-Saturday, the Sevier Valley Center hosted the 1-A/2-A state wrestling championships which saw Panguitch emerge with its third all-time state title (1997, 2000, 2020) at the 1-A level. Meanwhile, Duchesne, won its fifth all-time state championship on the mat (1981, 2008, 2015, 2016, 2020) and first as a 2-A school.
The Bobcats amassed 213 points while Rich placed second with 151.5 points. Piute placed third with 14o points, Milford finished fourth with 121 points and Wayne rounded out the top five, netting 106.5 points.
Tintic placed sixth with 51.5 points, Monument Valley finished seventh with 27 points, Whitehorse finished eighth with 22 points and Bryce Valley and Diamond Ranch tied for ninth with 18 points.
In 2-A, the Eagles earned the crown with 244.5 points, while Altamont placed second with 220 points.
Beaver finished third with 208 points, while Millard placed fourth with 205 points. North Summit placed fifth with 194 points and Enterprise finished sixth with 18o points. Kanab placed seventh with 82 points with Gunnison Valley finishing eighth with 80.5 points. Monticello placed ninth with 63.5 points and North Sevier placed 10th with 61 points. Layton Christian finished 11th with 22 points and Parowan placed 12th with 6 points.
