RICHFIELD, Utah-Tuesday evening, 40 awards were bestowed upon star athletes from around the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network coverage area were honored at the Sevier County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall in Richfield.
They are as follows in their respective sports and seasons:
Fall Sports Awards
Football Player of the Year: Treyson Hunter-Beaver High School
Football Offensive Player of the Year: Kasey Giddings-Richfield High School
Football Defensive Player of the Year: Bodee Blackett-Juab High School (Blackett will play college football at Southern Utah University)
Football Lineman of the Year: Jake Eichorn-Beaver High School (Eichorn will play college football at Weber State University)
Volleyball Player of the Year: Sipola Vakautakakala-Richfield High School
Volleyball Offensive Player of the Year: Kennedi Kndusen-Gunnison Valley High School
Volleyball Defensive Player of the Year: Esther Cox-Valley High School
Girls Soccer Player of the Year-Allie Bridges-Manti High School
Girls Soccer Offensive Player of the Year-Savannah Nielson-Delta High School

*Notably, Savannah Nielson, Eichorn and Larsen all appeared in multiple sports on this list. Savannah Nielson as the girls soccer offensive player of the year and girls track and field runner of the year, Eichorn as the football lineman of the year and baseball silver slugger of the year and Larsen as the girls soccer defensive player of the year and softball player of the year.
Additionally, the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network sports schol of the year award was bestowed upon Beaver High School as the Beavers excelled in various sports, winning state titles in boys golf and football during the fall season.
The Mid-Utah Radio Spors Network coach of the year award was bestowed upon Juab football coach Mike Bowring, who led the Wasps to their first state football title in school history this past November with a win over the Wasps’ former nemesis, Morgan.
The Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network female athlete of the year is Savannah Nielson of Delta High School for her numerous attainments.
Finally, the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network male athlete of the year is Jake Eichorn of Beaver High School, who excelled in football, baseball and basketball for the Beavers.
