HELPER, Utah-Wednesday, Manti, Juab, South Sevier, Panguitch and Richfield represented the Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network at the Carbon Invitational, hosted by Carbon High School at the Carbon Country Golf Course of Helper.
Winning the girls’ team title was Uintah as the Utes posted 66 points. Richfield finished sixth with 149 points and Manti placed eighth with 175 points.
The girls’ overall individual champion is Grand’s Kylah Ricks, who posted a time of 19:06.40. Richfield won the boys’ title with an overall score of 66, edging Carbon, as the Dinos posted 67 points. Juab finished fourth with 99 points and Manti was eighth with 192 points and South Sevier placed 11th with 307 points.
For the girls, Richfield’s Nora Foster placed eighth overall in a time of 21:30.90 while Juab’s Whitlee Rosquist finished 11th (21:38.80). Keltsy Fowles of Manti placed 13th (21:54.10) and Richfield’s Jamie Holt placed 16th (22:21.70).
Cambree Olsen of Juab placed 27th (23:26.00) and Melissa Crane of Richfield placed 31st (23:35.50) while Isabella Kndusen of Manti placed 39th overall (23:53.00).
Manti’s Megan Dennis (23:57.30) and Savannah Withers (24:07.70) placed 41st and 42nd respectively and Lainey Obray of South Sevier finished 43rd (24:12.50).
Bethany Christenen of Manti placed 50th (24:52.40) with Richfield’s Hannah Steele (24:52.90), Karlee Thomas (24:54.30) and Elena Torgersen (24:57.90) placed 51st through 53rd.
Alice Grover of Manti placed 54th (24:58.50) and McKenna Alger of Richfield finished 57th (25:26.10).
Manti’s Ashlee Johnson finished 64th (26:31.20) to round out the competitors from Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network schools.
For the boys, Richfield’s Hayden Harward took the individual title (16:12.30) while Dason Day of Juab placed eighth (16:50.20).
Richard Crane of Richfield placed 11th (17:15.40) while Tyler Dinkel of Juab placed 12th (17:16.00) and Tyler Johnson of Richfield finished 13th (17:21.10).
Richfield’s Nick Woolsey placed 18th (17:24.80) and Dallin Taylor of Juab finished 19th (17:27.80). Panguitch’s Porter Schoppe finished 21st (17:34.00) and Sam Cox of Manti placed 23rd (17:35.80).
Mason Solt of Richfield finished 24th (17:38.80) and Gabe Peterson of Juab placed 29th (18:03.00).
Blake Vellinga of South Sevier placed 32nd (18:09.80) and Jared Braden of Juab placed 33rd (18:13.00) while Richfield’s Cannon Anderson finished 34th (18:13.90).
Tyler Saunders of Richfield finished 36th (18:14.40) and Manti’s Ben Johnson (18:20.00) and Josiah Carter (18:20.10) placed 39th and 40th respectively.
Trevor Taggart of Manti placed 44th (18:34.00) and Juab’s Joseph Petersen finished 46th (18:35.50) with his teammate, Talmage Day, placing 49th (18:50.00).
Manti’s Tyler Taggart (18:52.00) and Hunter Powell (18:55.20) placed 51st and 52d respectively.
Trevor Steck of Manti placed 59th (19:09.90) and South Sevier’s Clancy Eyre (19:42.50), Jarin Robb (19:47.30) and Logan Hansen (19:59.50) finished 68th through 70th.
Rounding out Mid-Utah Radio Sports Network’s athletes in participation were South Sevier’s Tanner Togerson (20:21.20) who placed 73rd, Brodie Owens (20:38.80) who finished 76th and Caleb Jenkins (24:41.00) who placed 82nd.
