Kody Wilstead Named RMAC Football Offensive Player of the Week

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Monday, Dixie State football quarterback Kody Wilstead was named as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week per a release.

The sophomore signal-caller who starred at nearby Pine View High School completed 18 of 29 passes for 341 yards and a school-single game record five touchdown passes in a 35-10 win over Adams State Saturday at Trailblazers Stadium.

This award is Dixie State football’s first offensive weekly honor of the year and their third overall such honor.

After being bypassed for an NCAA Division II playoff berth or bowl game invitation, the Trailblazers conclude their last season as a Division II school with an 8-3 record.

The next time Dixie State plays a football game it will be as a Division I independent September 5, 2020 at Eccles Coliseum in Cedar City against regional rival Southern Utah.
