OGDEN, Utah-Thursday, Weber State head football coach Eric Kjar announced the hiring of former Wildcats football player Kam Garrett as the program’s new cornerbacks coach.
Garrett comes to the Wildcats’ program from Idaho State where he served as the Bengals’ graduate assistant/assistant cornerback coach in 2025.
Garrett started at Weber State from 2019-2022, helping to lead the Wildcats to a pair of Big Sky championships and three teams that advanced to the FCS playoffs.
Garrett later played at BYU in 2023, recording an interception against Southern Utah and five tackles against Oklahoma State for the Cougars that season.
The Las Vegas native earned a degree in business management from BYU in 2023.
