BOSTON-BYU star junior cross country All-American and indoor/outdoor track and field star Whittni Orton set a school record Saturday at the Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville season opener to commence the indoor track and field season.
The former Panguitch High School star athlete ran the women’s 5000 meters in a time of 15:22.98.
Orton is also a returning All-American in indoor track and field as she made the first-team All-American squad in 2018 in the indoor mile.
In outdoor track and field, she is a returning second-team All-American, earning these honors at the 2019 NCAA Outdoor National Championship meet this past June at Austin, Texas.
