Carbon, Emery win the 3A Duals

RICHFIELD, Utah-State Duals for 3A this year were lacking in competition compared to years past. Last year there were 16 teams in attendance. This year, only nine teams attended, with Emery’s junior varsity making up the core of a tenth team. Juab only had a few varsity wrestlers and some holes in their line-up of mainly junior varsity competitors.

Carbon came out on top in pool A. Followed by Union in second, Juab in third, Emery B in fourth, and San Juan in fifth. Emery controlled pool B placing first. Richfield secured second place, followed by Delta in third, South Sevier in fourth, and Summit Academy in fifth. Carbon and Emery did not meet in the pool crossover duals. The crossover results were Richfield defeating Union 45-34, Delta defeating Juab 49-17, Emery B defeating South Sevier 48-36, and San Juan defeating Summit Academy 42-36.
