(Provo, UT) — BYU quarterback Jaren Hall will be the school’s first-ever African-American starting quarterback when the Cougars visit South Florida on Saturday.
Hall is stepping in for Zach Wilson, who is dealing with a hand injury.
He attended Maple Mountain High School in Spanish Fork and is the son of former BYU running back Kalin Hall, who starred for the program in 1992 and 1993. The Cougars are 2-and-3.
