PROVO, Utah-Tuesday afternoon, BYU athletics released a 50-year anniversary logo for the Marriott Center.

It depicts the storied arena with the number 50 appearing above it in a blue silhouette.

The Cougars’ men’s basketball team played at the Smith Fieldhouse prior to the completion of the Marriott Center from 1951-1971.

BYU commences its 50th season at the Marriott Center November 9 by hosting Cleveland State.

The Cougars’ women’s basketball squad also commences their season November 9 at the Marriott Center by hosting Lipscomb.
