(Cedar City, UT) — A huge winter storm that’s forecast for the western U.S. will generate a Winter Storm Warning for parts of Southwest Utah beginning late today through early Thursday. Lower elevation communities including St. George can expect rain while Cedar City and higher elevation areas are likely to get as much as eight inches of snow. Forecasters say to expect winter driving conditions and traction laws may be activated. Winds could gust as high as 65 miles an hour in some areas by late today with crosswinds making travel difficult to treacherous.
