UVU Men’s Basketball To Partner With 5 For the Fight

OREM, Utah-Wednesday, Utah Valley University men’s basketball confirmed it will partner with 5 For The Fight to become the first NCAA Division I program to sponsor the fight against cancer via a patch on their jerseys.

The Wolverines will debut this distinctive feature this evening as they host BYU at the UCCU Center in a non-conference tilt.

5 For The Fight is a 501(c)3 nonprofit inviting all to donate $5 to the fight against cancer.

The NBA’s Utah Jazz have since become the first professional sports team in North America to wear a cause-related sponsorship patch.

In the interim, the Salt Lake City-based franchise has raised more than $26 million for cancer research.

Those wishing to contribute $5 can text “Fight” to 50555 and confirm their donation.
