SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — High school seniors joined Gov. Gary Herbert at a weekly briefing imploring parents to stop fighting Utah’s face covering mandate in schools. Three Enterprise High School students on Wednesday voiced frustration with parents and other community members who planned a no-mask protest Monday in St. George. The students say they are willing to wear masks to keep their school open. Herbert says he recognizes those who have objections to wearing masks but says it is a minimal sacrifice that nearly all Utah students are willing to make. Her has stopped short of implementing a statewide mandate but has urged people to wear face coverings.
