(Salt Lake City, UT) — A new study ranks Utah high for its response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The National Bureau of Economic Research, which ranked all states according to pandemic health, economy and policy, has placed Utah Number One for its pandemic response. Under specific categories, Utah ranked fourth for economy and fifth for education nationwide. Researchers found that pandemic mortality was highest in states where such co-morbidity conditions such as old age, obesity and diabetes were more prevalent prior to the pandemic.
