Utah Leaders Tout Nuclear Power Project

(Brigham City, UT) — There’s a new push to build a nuclear power plant. Utah leaders say Brigham City will eventually be home to what they call “the state’s first, full-scale nuclear ecosystem.” Yesterday, Governor Spencer Cox and others said a small collection of modular reactors will be built over the coming years. They believe it will create jobs and innovation while providing more electricity. Seven-hundred-50-million dollars in private investments will fund the projects which will go through state and federal approvals.
