UDOT Launches Major Highway 6 Projects In Spanish Fork Canyon

(Spanish Fork Canyon, UT) — Roadwork is ramping up in Spanish Fork Canyon. The Utah Department of Transportation says crews are starting major improvements along a four-mile stretch of U.S. Highway 6. Plans include installing more than two dozen overhead lights and widening the highway from two lanes to four as part of a 53-point-four-million-dollar project. The work also includes adding a median barrier, flattening curves, and improving the Sheep Creek Road intersection, with additional upgrades planned this spring at the Highway 6 and Highway 89 interchange in Thistle.
