BEAVER COUNTY, Utah (AP)-Per a report from FOX News 13 in Salt Lake City, two girls were struck by lightning near Puffer Lake in Beaver County Friday.

The Beaver County Sheriff’s Office confirmed two girls were struck by lightning as the monsoons continued in central and southern Utah.

The Sheriff’s Office stated both of them were alive when they left the area but specific details concerning the nature and severity of their injuries were not immediately available.

Puffer Lake is roughly 21 miles east of downtown Beaver on S.R. 153 and part of the Fishlake National Forest.
