(Cedar City, UT) — The construction phase of a new Music Center building at Southern Utah University is underway. University officials, as well as State Senators Don Ipson and Evan Vickers were on hand for a groundbreaking ceremony late last week. The two senators played a role in securing funding for the facility, which will feature a 502-seat concert hall and a 105-seat recital hall, along with rehearsal spaces, practice rooms and teaching studios. The target date for completion is June 2026.
