Senator Lee Speaks About Texts

(Salt Lake City, UT) — U.S. Senator Mike Lee says the texts he was exchanging with then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows were not a sign that he was advocating for the overturning of the 2020 presidential election. Speaking with the Deseret News, Lee says his goal was to determine what Congress’ role should be. He adds Meadows knew he was not in office to do their bidding. Lee adds he feels the release of the texts are being used for political motives as he seeks another term.
