(Salt Lake City, UT) — Senator Daniel Thatcher says he’s alright after appearing to suffer from a medical issue during debate on the Utah Senate floor. Several people stopped to attend to Thatcher Thursday while the group was discussing controversial bills concerning transgender youth healthcare. However, he told that he needed to take a few deep breaths to get his heart rate down after an emotional debate. He added at no point was he having a medical issue. Thatcher explained that someone saw him take deep breaths and “freaked out” and “everybody freaked out” afterward.
