(Modena, UT) – Two elk hunters lost in a snow-bound area of Iron County are safe. The Iron County Sheriff’s Office says the hunters were stuck in the snow and spent Tuesday night in their vehicle. Yesterday morning they walked to where they were able to get a signal and use a cell phone to call 911. Sheriff Mark Gower says it is a good thing the men called 911.  Gower says the air and ground search and rescue operation was taking place in an area where the men were thought to be hunting which ended up being miles from where the men were eventually found.Â
