Nearly 6,000 students returned to Sanpete County classrooms on Aug. 20. About 2,600 students are expected to enroll in the North Sanpete School District, with roughly 3,300 students set to enroll in the South Sanpete School District. There will be some changes for students this year. In the North Sanpete School District there will be new programs including a literacy program involving the Utah Olympic Committee at the elementary level and an automotive program at both North Sanpete and Pleasant Creek high schools. South Sanpete high schools are making technology changes, with the district moving students from iPads to MacBook computers.
