(Roosevelt, UT) — The Republican field to replace Utah Senator Mitt Romney is starting to get crowded. Roosevelt Mayor Rod Bird Junior announced yesterday he would run for the seat in 2024. Among Bird’s major goals is to “get federal spending under control” and guard American jobs. This after state House Speaker Brad Wilson announced his plans to step down later this year for an expected run at the position. Riverton Mayor Trent Staggs also said he would be aiming to get to Washington, D.C. next year.
