Just before 6:00 p.m. on Oct. 22, Utah Highway Patrol spotted a stolen vehicle in Nephi. Deputies with the Juab County Sheriff’s Office and Nephi City Police officers responded to assist with locating and stopping the vehicle. The vehicle was located going northbound on I-15 and the female driver fled from officers. According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, “the suspect turned around on the freeway shoulder and began driving the wrong way on the freeway.” The driver exited the freeway and drove on a mountain road east of Mona. The driver ended up running off the road and crashing into a ravine. She was taken to the hospital to be medically cleared before being booked into the Juab County Jail.
