Officials Urging Caution As Water Danger Increases

(Salt Lake City, UT)  –  First responders are telling Utahns to be especially careful as already fast-moving rivers and creeks become even more dangerous over the next week.  Warm temperatures have increased the volume of water from snowmelt, making river currents even stronger.  Water pressure equal to 20-thousand-pounds has been recorded in some places.  The Unified Fire Authority is advising people not to jump in the water if someone is swept away, saying professional rescue teams should be called in to prevent any further loss of life.Â
