(Salt Lake City, UT) – Utahns won’t see the state tax on gas go away anytime soon. Governor Spencer Cox explained yesterday that the tax must remain in place. Cox says money from the extra charges is already earmarked for road repairs and maintenance. The governor plans to meet with legislative leaders to try to find other solutions to higher gas prices.
