The Monroe Canyon Fire in Sevier County continues to grow. As of this afternoon the fire is listed at 5,028 acres and is zero percent contained. According to Sevier County Sheriff Nathan Curtis, several small planes and a helicopter are helping with firefighting efforts due to emergency communications towers and other essential communications towers all being threatened. There is also a temporary flight restriction in place.
